Wondering WHY they smoke......
Facts about smoking in Spain:
Spain introduced a smoking ban in workplaces and public places larger than 100 square meters in 2006. Many of the bars and restaurants are smaller than 100 square meters and in larger establishments, few owners enforce the law or have installed nonsmoking sections. Hmmmmmm :o(
Spain's health minister Trinidad Jimenez said in an interview this august that Spain is ready for total smoking ban in public places. That's nice :o)
 
My visit to Alicante this year showed that the smoking ban is working quite well.
